NP Côte d’Ivoire Opens New Service Station in Divo

The opening ceremony brought together representatives of the local authorities, community leaders, guests, and members of the NP family. Representing the Mayor of Divo at the event, the municipal representative commended NP Côte d’Ivoire for its continued investment in the local economy and its contribution to job creation and infrastructure development in the region. Speaking during the ceremony, on behalf of NP Côte d’Ivoire, Country Director, Andrew Bangali, expressed gratitude to the government and people of Côte d’Ivoire for creating a conducive environment that allows businesses like NP to operate responsibly and contribute to national development. Mr. Bangali thanked partners, stakeholders, and customers for their continuous support since NP entered the Ivorian market in 2018, noting that additional stations are planned in the coming years, with land already being acquired in other parts of the country to support further development. Described by onlookers as an “architectural jewel” that will contribute to the economic growth of Divo while creating employment opportunities for residents, the newly opened Divo station is the fourth service station established by NP Côte d’Ivoire, as part of the Company’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in the country. During the event, tribute was paid to Mr. Mohamed Kanu, the first Managing Director of NP Côte d’Ivoire. Mr. Kanu was instrumental in establishing the subsidiary and spearheaded several key projects, including the Abobo, Grand Bassam, Yopougon, and Divo stations. The ceremony concluded with the official declaration of the Divo service station open, symbolizing NP’s growing presence and long-term commitment to supporting economic development in Côte d’Ivoire. NP Côte d’Ivoire is a subsidiary of NP Group Limited, a regional petroleum marketing company with operations across several West African countries, including Sierra Leone, Liberia, The Gambia, Guinea Conakry, and Côte d’Ivoire.
